She's 3

Last Thursday we celebrated our baby turning 3.  CrAzY!
Wasn't she just a baby yesterday?
She's growing up so fast.  Too fast.

I woke her up before Jackson left for school so he could see her open her presents.  I was excited about her gifts so I didn't want to wait until the evening to open them.  :-)

She was immediately excited when she noticed gifts wrapped just for her.

She wasn't sure what this was at first, but was SUPER excited about it when she figured it out.

And you can tell by the look on her face how she feels about new paints.

Jackson got her lip gloss and nail polish.  He couldn't have gotten her a better gift.  She was in love.
Then, my little cook, got some awesome play food.  She hasn't stopped playing with it since.  She'll cook and bake for anyone who'll stand still for at least a minute.

Later on in the day, she got a special surprise from Oma.  And  a sweet birthday card from Uncle Adam.
We finished off her birthday day with the dinner of her choice - Cheeseburgers at Smashburger and frozen yogurt for dessert.
And because it's more fun to spread the celebration out over a couple days, we had cupcakes and pizza on Friday night with a few friends.  I think she felt very celebrated!

(my oh, so talented friend, Ashley B. made that adorable birthday crown)

Caroline is already loving telling people she's 3.  And I think she's makes a fabulous 3 year old.

Here's a little bit about our sweet Caroline:

She loves to paint and is quite good at it.

She loves "Tangled" and, if we let her, she'd watch it everyday.

She loves to help me cook in the kitchen.

She loves to mop and vacuum.

She likes having the house to herself while Jackson is at school.

She has a new found love of "Annie" and the song "Tomorrow".  I love listening to her sing it.

She loves to put on pretty dresses and shoes and dance.

She's sweet, but has a stubborn side that rivals mine.

She'll eat almost anything when dipped in ranch dressing.

She can be a little shy sometimes, but once she comes out of her shell she'll be your best friend.

She is one of the greatest gift receivers I've ever seen.  She gets so excited about everything and is so enthusiastic and thankful.

She takes great care of her babies.  And is really good at scolding them when they misbehave.

I love riding in the car with her because of the awesome imaginary conversations she has with her "friends" in the backseat.

She is still completely attached to her Estelle.

When she hears laughter, she always joins in no matter who's laughing or why.

Her number one favorite thing to play lately is food.  She pulls all of her blankets into the living room and sets up huge picnics.

She is sweet, kind and loving.  We are so grateful she's ours.

Happy birthday, sweet Caroline!!!
