You saw how heartbroken Caroline was when she didn't get to go with the boys on their camping trip. I knew I needed to step up my game so she wouldn't feel cheated having to stay at home with ol' mom.
As soon as I mentioned having a picnic by the TV while watching a movie and then painting our nails, she'd forgotten all about the boys and what they were doing. Phew!
I introduced her to "Emma" while we ate some pizza and ice cream. Then we did paint our nails and finished the evening off with another movie and popcorn in bed.
I love my little girl and the girl's nights we have.
The slumber party wore her out. She slept in.
