First swim of the summer.

One of Jackson's little friends invited us over to swim in her awesome swimming pool this morning and we were so excited to go. We hadn't been swimming since the beginning of last summer and Caroline had only been in a pool one other time before this.

When we finally got there, Jackson could hardly wait for me to blow up his floaties. When I finally got him ready to float he went right in. It took him a minute to remember what to do in the water, but he grabbed a noodle and he was off. He kicked and swam all over that pool and eventually he even let go of the noodle and swam with just his floaties. By the end he was jumping off the side all by himself. Just like old times. I was so happy to see him enjoying the water so much.

Caroline was a little anxious at first but I showed her that she could float and then she let me just barely hold on to her so she could kick her feet behind her. She tried out the noodle too but I think that was a little more than she wanted to deal with. She enjoyed hanging out with me kicking her feet and splashing her arms. And by the end, just like Jackson, she was jumping off the side. It was awesome!!!

This is Jackson's friend Kaitlin. Jackson went to Kaitlin's house yesterday to play. Kaitlin wanted to play Princess and the Frog so Jackson got to be Prince Naveen and she was Tiana. Kaitlin's baby brother was Shadow Man and they had to run away from him (that last bit is Jackson's words).

I love that Jackson and Caroline have so many friends here. It's really fantastic! We especially love that we have friends with a pool!! :-)
