San Antonio Zoo

All summer long the Newmans have been trying to take a vacation. The plan was to head down to Canyon Lake and visit Grandma and Grandpa and Sea World in San Antonio. Our summer was quite crazy and the vacation kept getting pushed back over and over. Well, a couple weeks ago Chad had a look at his calendar and determined that he had some time that he could take off. We were delighted. However, our plans to check out Sea World were thwarted by the fact that during the school year they are only open on the weekends and we were heading out on a Monday. Never fear, though. We found another way to spend some of our time. We went to the zoo. The kids were excited to go and we were too. I'd never been to this zoo and Chad hadn't been since he was small. He recalled a story from the time he was there as we began on our journey. He told me about a t-shirt he had gotten and how that the shirt was quickly ruined when he spilled something on the front of it. That's always a bummer.

It was such a fun day for our family. Jackson and Caroline loved all the animals and I, of course, took a bazillion pictures. Here are just a handful of them.

You guys look wonderful. Love your pictures. That zoo and the OKC zoo are my favorites.
